About Bägsä
Bägsä began over 20 years ago with a simple idea.
Hemmo, the father and coach of a young tennis player, noticed how most players carried oversized, overly branded bags - yet only ever used the essentials: a few racquets, shoes, a towel, water. So, he designed something different. Just a few pieces, made in collaboration with a local maker. No business plan, just a thoughtful solution built with care.
His Bägsä became a daily companion. Durable. Subtle. Functional.
Two decades later, his son Santtu pulled out the original, stitched in the colors of the Italian flag, and started using it again. It turned heads. People asked where it was from. That quiet idea from years ago suddenly felt current.
Together, Hemmo and Santtu refined the design. Adjusted the shape, added compartments, and elevated the materials, without losing the soul of the original.
This is Bägsä now.
